I've held a lovely one down near the Ohiwa harbour, where the wedding party had lovely white parasols to keep off the heat, and the location under a big pohutukawa tree with the harbour as a backdrop would have made for some spectacular photos. even though it was outside the bride and groom had chairs and blankets for their guests to make themselves comfortable.
The next one was up at Kohi Point overlooking Whale Island, and yet another beautiful day, with the bride and her sons being piped in to some beautiful bagpiping. The piper also played for the signing of the license and to pipe the newly weds back out after the ceremony. It was a lovely alternative to songs. again there was some lovely tree shade for the guests to stand under and enjoy the ceremony without wilting in our fantastic weather.
